Register for Dive

We have divers of all skill levels – some who are hesitant to jump off the board and others who are top competitors in the country!! All you need is an interest in the sport, a willingness to learn, and the ability to swim the length of the diving well – it’s all about having fun and developing new skills. Not sure if dive is for you? Try us out for the first week of practice for free!

Who Can Dive?
The Wahoos welcome all divers from 4-18 on June 1st of the season.

Divers must be able to swim the length of the dive well unassisted.

We also welcome non-WCRA divers to join the team if they are a member of a pool without a dive team.

As a reminder, many of our divers participate on the swim team and/or tennis at WCRA and the schedules are designed to allow participants to do them all without conflict!

2024 Practice Schedule
Like swim, dive practice is Monday-Friday from Memorial Day-mid/late July.

Practices are after school until the end of the FCPS year, at which point we move to the mornings (but not crazy early like Swim – we are civilized at the deep end of the pool!).

Tues, May 28 – Wed, June 12 (Afternoon Practices)
All Ages: 4:15 pm – 5:15 pm or
5:15 pm – 6:15 pm
Thurs, June 13 – Wed, July 17 (Morning Practices)
9-12: 9:15 am – 10:15 am
8 & Under: 10:15 am – 11:15 am
13-18: 11:15 am – 12:00 pm

Dive Meets & Schedule

A-Meets (official meets) are on Tuesday afternoons at 6 pm.

B-Meets (developmental meets) are on Thursdays at 6pm.

League-wide meets are held on Sundays and include the Wally Martin 3 Meter & Synchronized Dive Meet, Cracker Jack Meet (developmental), and the Divisional and All Star competitions.

Visit the Wahoo Dive Website meet information page for the full schedule.

Parents
We encourage parents to be involved, whether that means watching practices, being a deck parent, or learning how to help officiate the meets. It’s easy to do, can mostly be done with little to no training, and helps you learn a little more about what the kids are doing!
