This Friday: Movie, Raft, and Food Truck Night, Friday, August 17, 7-9 PM – Join us for a screening of the classic, “The Princess Bride.” The movie will be shown on our giant, blow-up screen poolside so bring blankets, comfy chairs, or your favorite inflatable to float on in the pool. There is no charge for this event for members. All ages are welcome. Dinner and dessert will be available for purchase from the Empanadas de Mendoza food truck.
2nd Annual Pirates and Mermaid Night, Saturday, August 18, 6-8:30 PM (new date) – Pirates and Mermaids are welcome to join us for a series of activities for the kids, including tattoo time, treasure hunts, ring bling fling, and pirate parade. The event is geared towards the younger set, but we welcome the older children as pirate crew, and parents too. No registration necessary, but a $3 donation per child or $5 per family is appreciated to help defray the costs of the supplies. Hosted by Membership Director, Katherine Schultz.
ATTENTION 55 AND OVER MEMBERS . . . 55+ Adult party, Saturday, August 25, 7–10 PM – Join us for an evening of music, conversation, heavy appetizers, and drinks. Leave room for meatballs, wings, noodle salad, and other tasty items. Beer, wine, and soda will be the liquid refreshments. $25 per person. Guests are welcome. RSVP by August 21 at 9 PM. Enjoy last days of summer at the 4th annual Wakefield Chapel Youth Triathlon on Saturday, September 1st. Once again, we will feature Pancakes, Ice Cream, Sweet tunes, and Tri-Tattoos. Okay, so you do have to earn it, it does cost $25, and the tattoos will wash off eventually. But you'll get an awesome moisture wicking t-shirt and medal to show off your accomplishment. Finishing a triathlon is a BIG deal!
